HOLLISTER SCHOOL K-12
One of our main goals is to look at instruction and make certain that we are properly assessing students and communicating the assessment results in a timely manner to empower students, teachers, and parents. Formative assessments inform our teaching and make a significant difference in preparing each student to master the concepts on their summative assessments. Teaching with the district mission statement in mind -"We are a school district with an unrelenting focus on learning. All students will succeed, as success is our only option - has meant that we look at interventions for all students." Teachers work daily to reach every learner through a host of interventions which range from tutoring, to Eric Jensen engagement strategies, to differentiated instruction techniques. A spirit of improvement and commitment to student achievement is evident in our school buildings as everyone makes decisions based on what is best for students.
